The Journey Begins

The car is almost packed. I go through the checklist: clothes, guitar, laptop, Bible, iPod, Superfood, notebooks...it goes on. In less than 12 hours I'll leave Mississippi headed for IHOP-KC. The International House of Prayer in Kansas City is a 24/7 prayer & worship center. Some ministry friends from Georgia have paid for an apartment for me for the month of October.
Four months ago tomorrow my wife, Denise, died of ovarian cancer while waiting for the Lord to heal her. She wanted nothing more than to see Jesus face-to-face. She thought that it would be here. She is now with Him and I'm alone...slowly healing and learning to worship in the midst of the greatest disappointment of my life. God has already done an amazing work (more on this later). I thought that my time in KC was going to be for the healing of my heart, but since much of that has already been accomplished, this trip is now a mystery and adventure. So I am inviting you to take this journey with me. I'll try to post daily for the next 30 days, sharing thoughts, hopes, tears, pictures, and dreams.
